How are patients admitted for examinations?

Examinations always require a referral from a doctor. Referrals can be obtained from the health centre or from specialised medical care. Patients will be sent an invitation letter and patient instructions regarding the examination. Patients should register for the examinations at the office of the Clinical Physiology, Nuclear Medicine and Clinical Neurophysiology Department.

Long examination or treatment periods

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is also given at the ward. In such instances, patients may be required to visit the ward every weekday for a few weeks. In the case of video EEG, the brain's functioning is recorded for prolonged periods of time, ranging from one day to a couple of weeks.
